Yesterday was spent in Colca Valley and Colca Canyon looking at Condors and Llamas, Alpacas and Vicuñas. The morning started at 5 am to make sure we got to the canyon viewing point by 8 am. There were a few condors around, but quite far away, but after about 45 minutes, they came around and were, at a point, above our heads. It was a great spectacle to see. We were also graced with about 6 condors in total!

It was a gorgeous landscape to take in along the way with all the ‘terraces’ in the valley.

The lesson about the fineness of wool is that Vicuñas take the lead in that race and the followed by Alpacas. You will hear this on every tour.
